King
Tut's Tomb in Las Vegas
Screensaver presents
a replica of King Tut's Tomb at the Luxor hotel on
the Las Vegas Strip. This historically accurate reproduction
of the original burial chambers was painstakingly
recreated by leading Egyptologists. Many of the artifacts
are placed just as Howard Carter first discovered
them in 1922. Legend has it that Carter unleashed
the Mummy's Curse. By 1929 eleven people connected
with the discovery of the Tomb had died early, and
of unnatural causes. However, Carter died in 1939
at the age of 65.
Egypt's King Tutankhamen
is known as "The Boy King" because he inherited
the throne at the age of 9 and died at age 19.
He is remembered for the amazing gold-filled tomb
in which he was laid to rest. The actual treasures
of Tut's Tomb are housed at the Cairo Museum in
Egypt.
