"Review of Alice for Mac Greenfingers - ALICE GREENFINGERS-- WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE!-- I have to admit that when I looked at the screen shots and read the description Alice Greenfingers didn't really seem appealing to me. But after reading some positive reviews I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and glad that I did. Alice Greenfingers has several games combined into one and the overall result is really fun. You plant crops, water them, harvest them, sell them at market, purchase equipment and upgrades, etc, repeat. The biggest win for Alice Greenfingers is the ability to queue up a seemingly infinite number of click commands. Since you have to manually click on every grid cell that you want to perform some operation with, there would normally be a lot of click, click, wait, click, click, wait. Alice Greenfingers speeds up the pace and the ease of play by letting you queue up anything you want. Click on the watering can, then click on 4 crop sites, then click on the well to fill the watering can, and so on... all without having to wait for the character to finish with any of those tasks. Alice Greenfingers will carry on and proceed to execute everything you assigned. This one feature really completes this game and is a welcome thing to see when you compare the popular seek, find, and click games that make you wait for some superfluous animation to finish before you can click on the next item you spotted. Music is subtle and not annoying. I made this goofy haphazard garden that didn't work well, then I got the sprinklers and boom, the garden didn't work well at all (the only way to put the sprinkler where i needed it was to dig up a plant and wait for grass to grow in it's place).
