World Mosaics Review - "Unique and Challenging - World Mosaics starts off simply enough -- perhaps too simple, as I found myself wanting to disable the tutorial hints rather quickly -- but soon becomes a fun test of reasoning skills. The World Mosaics music is rather repetitive, sounds are fairly basic, yet neither is particularly bad. Just not outstanding. Gameplay in World Mosaics seems straightforward; on a grid,
players must uncover a hidden image/pattern by finding the "hidden" tiles and either digging out or avoiding the blank spaces, given the number of consecutive tiles in each row/column. But World Mosaics is acually quite challenging, what starts off as a process of elimination becomes a struggle to keep track of all the numbers. In all, World Mosaics is most certainly worth playing.." - Puzzle Gamer
World Mosaics Review - "Hours of Griddlers with World Mosaics- I love this kind of game, and World Mosaics has many strong points. At first glance it might resemble a match 3, but you actually have to use reason to figure out which squares have tiles under them and which are nothing. Pick the wrong tile, and you get a strike on your "mistakes" and too many of those and your game is over!
It is very similar to Gemsweeper. I personally prefer gemsweeper because the puzzles are more colorful on Gemsweeper, but I really like how World Mosaics highlights the numbers on the row you are working in (when it gets up to 20X20 it can get confusing).
The premise is defintely a winner! World Mosaics - Definitely worth a trial!" - Griddler Fan
World Mosaics Review - "Excellent Puzzle to Challenge your Brain! World Mosaics is like Gem Sweeper. It's a challenging puzzle that gets harder with each level. It is easy to learn to play, with no complicated rules to remember, but some of the later levels can be very difficult to pass without mistakes. Very likely some people will look at the screenshots and assume this is another match-3, but World Mosaics has nothing to do with
match-3. Give World Mosaics a try, it's a great change from the usual games!" - Gamer 3
World Mosaics Review - "GRIDDLERS at Last! This type of logic puzzling goes under many names, I know them as 'Griddlers' but I believe they're asian in origin. Either way I love these puzzles as they're incredibly addictive and i'm really glad a game has come out using the premise.
The basic point is that you have to make a picture by working out which squares to fill in and which to omit via guide numbers at two sides. In World Mosaics you travel through various continents finding icons of the given culture's history.
Good Bits: I don't think the game is too short, it's quite varied and there are sets of extra puzzles to play.
Graphics are very basic but this didn't bother me as for something like this you don't really need a heavy game on your hands. If it got too convoluted i'd probably find it annoying and unecessary so I like the way they've done it. World Mosaics is, however, very playable and very addictive. The progression is good, absolute beginners will be able to get on board very easily. Plenty of games and plenty of variation.
Bad Bits: It's a very basic game, and there are two issues which are a bit annoying.
1 - Sometimes the guide numbers meld into the background a bit.
2 - Training yourself to switch between left and right click when you're playing at speed. I play these very fast and literally ALL of my mistakes were made by mis-clicking rather than getting it wrong. This is player mistake though I guess as there's no better was the makers could design the game.
Yes, some larger puzzles would have been good. And yes some more complex ones with better result images would have been nice. The only thing i'd really hang it up on is the sound, take my advice and turn the music off or down from the start :-)
If you like logic puzzles, World Mosaics could well be a game for you. Though I do warn you to keep some coffee and eye drops at hand because you'll be playing it for HOURS!

World Mosaics Review - "Great Challenge Game. Loved World Mosaics. Reminded me a bid of the old winmine but with better sound, pictures and variety. Starts off fairly easily but challenges the mind later on." - GameFreak
