I'll
just add my voice to the chorus. This is a great
movie. It is far better than any of the previous
Star Wars movies, including the three that I
though were good :
Star Wars - Episode
IV: A New Hope (1977)
Star Wars
- Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Star
Wars - Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
When George Lucus stayed
away from hokey humor and cute little teddy bears
(Ewoks), the movies were much better. And you can't
get much better than this last one. It's grand opera.
I had a sense of a
history, both cinematic and personal, being completed
when this movie ended. Has it really been 28 years?
I was a bit surprised at my emotion, and at the fact
that I was so proud of Lucas for giving us such a
fine ending to the saga. Revenge
of the Sith is his best work since THX
1138,
which I first saw at a drive-in movie theater, long
ago in a galaxy far far away.
