Predators is my last call on the Predator franchise. This movie is OK, but not nearly good enough to get this monster back on it's feet. Some critics praised the simple plot, but I'm afraid it is so minor that I could have written it on a paper napkin in one day - the dialogue is as predictable as the action. What a waste of some great actors.
I would have liked to have seen a story that could fill in some of the Predator culture, and motivation, which is sorely missing in all Predator films to date (including Alien crossovers).
The best film remains 1987's classic Predator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in perhaps his best role.
UPDATE 2012: Just saw this movie again, on Foxtel. As sometimes happens, the intimacy of TV puts a different light on a film. A different angle catches your attention. It drew me closer to the "hunter and prey" aspects of this film, and some of the characters were better drawn than I thought. I liked it better than I did on first viewing.
