Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and II is a satisfying conclusion to the epic series. By way of comparison, it's not quite a rewarding as the conclusion to the Star Wars series, but close.

When you reach the end of such a filmic mega-arc, you tend to think back to the beginnings, and realize that a fair swath of your own life has gone by, thus the last movie benefits from a retrospective gravitas.
