Devil totally confounded my expectations. I was blown away by this movie about 5 people, one of whom is the Devil, trapped inside a stalled skyscraper elevator. It is simply the most intelligently crafted horror film I've seen in years. Maybe there is nothing new under the sun, but it is quite an achievement to take the basic plot of Agatha's Christie's 10 Little Indians and turn it into something so fresh and chilling. The opening credits alone gave me the feeling that I was in for a rare treat. So, I won't say much about this film because the "unexpected" elements are so key to its success. I will say this - wonderful actors, great script, great direction. Get it on DVD ASAP.
