Who do you want
on a road trip? Jason Bourne. Why? Because he can
drive a stick shift with a gun in one hand, a limpy
leg, and a bullet in the shoulder - while reading
a Moscow
road
map.
The Bourne Supremacy (sequel
to The
Bourne Identity) is a pretty slick
tale of a secret agent out in the cold
who wants to stay there. However, things he can't quite
remember (due to partial amnesia) keep reaching out
from his
past, including people who want him dead.
Although
I think it helps a bit to have seen The
Bourne Identity (a better movie IMHO), this
film moves along under its on power quite well. Matt
Damon carries
the show (duh, he's the star) with a well-honed
approach to the Bourne character coming to terms
with who he is, and what he has done.
I have to say, some
of the finer details of the plot eluded me, and the
overuse of hand-held camera work, at times,
made me dizzy.
The thumping musical
score by John Powell is very fine, worth buying on
its own. See this movie, I think you'll enjoy it. |
