Totem Tribe Review - "When I initially downloaded the demo of Totem Tribe, I was actually not expecting to like it. I thought it was going to be a watered down version of Virtual Villagers, but I was wrong. I love Totem Tribe. I immediately purchased the full version. The only thing I dislike is that my villagers can't research and build at the same time, which gets annoying when you have to rebuild everything on each island. I'd like it if you could multi-task more in Totem Tribe. For everyone having a difficult time finding items in Totem Tribe, there are some amazing walkthroughs with maps of the items out there for Totem Tribe. For the person who is stuck on the ice block on Witch Island, you need to learn Fire Tower first. I believe you learn it on the next island after giving the other tribe the 5 pieces of coal. Then you can go back and melt the ice block." - Beejeezer Totem Tribe Review - "First of all, you do NOT need a help file to complete Totem Tribe! I am at the very end "I think" and never needed assistance even once. The islands are littered with hints contrary to what some reviewers have posted about Totem Tribe. I am always exited about these kind of games so when I saw Totem Tribe I had to try it. I hate hidden object games, but Totem Tribe is no hidden object game. Well at least not enough to put me off. Totem Tribe is more like Virtual Villagers meets Age of Empires. Of course the scale was nothing like Age of Empires, but if you played that game you will definitely see some similarities. The Totem Tribe graphics are overall very good. Your main character in Totem Tribe is really well designed but all other non-hero type characters look drastically different. They are just little pixelated characters. This would be fine but it looks so weird having your hero walking around the island next to all of these little miniature people when they are the same species. Apparently a person's career dictates their height and appearance in thie Totem Tribe world, lol. Other than that everything is really nice graphics wise. The islands, enemies, and buildings in Totem Tribe are great. The sound in Totem Tribe is decent--not so bad that it annoyed me, and I kept the audio on throughout the entire game. Totem Tribe doesn't have voice overs for the hero's dialogue. This may or may not be good for you but personally I dislike the voice overs in these kind of games, so I was cool with it. Gameplay of Totem Tribe was amazing for me. I played from the first island all the way to what I think is the final one all in two settings...and don't get me wrong! It's not because the game is too short, but because I was having a lot of fun and time off from work lol.
