The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess Review - "Well first let me say that the point and click style Adventure games are some of my favs. I loved The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess game. It had all the feel of a great old school adventure point and click game. Some of the puzzles were straight forward and easy but a lot were very challenging . A couple of times i got stuck and almost gave up . The very last
puzzle with the potion i had to look up on the web the mushroom part the answer is kinda guess work and not too logical you ll see why if you haven't played it i wont ruin it for you of course.
Someone on here who reviewed The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess said that they finished it in less then 80 mins time . hmmm No Way . I mean unless they looked up some hints on the web. when i read this review I had to try and see if it was possible to finish this game in under 80 mins. By the way it took me about 8-10 hrs over 2 days to finish it including with the help of 1 hint. and I consider my self pretty good at these games. Anyways I tried to
finish The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess the 2nd time but this go around I went as fast as possible, mind you I know what the answers are to the puzzles .. well it took me about 60 mins and thats with skipping all the skippable video and skipping thru the text speech. So I dont think its possible to finish this game within 80 mins if you dont know the puzzles and you dont use the web .. no way ..lol .
ok enough of that - The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess is a great old school point and click adventure game . Can't wait for part 2." - Rita Kroner
The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess Review - " I grew up with point and click adventure game, and The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess game is certainly pretty high in quality. The plot is amusing and hints of references to other games are here and there. I finished it already (with a help from a walkthrough,) I must say it's both great fun and pretty funny.
Retro pixelated graphics might not be a cup of tea for others, but I think they pulled it out very well. The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess does feel retro, and it is pretty pleasant to look at. I say it's decent if you like old-fashioned games. This review on the graphics maybe a little biased, because I do like retro style.
I can't rememer so much about the sound effects and music, though the speeches were a little time-consuming. To process you mostly have to try saying every available lines which took time, but you can always click to skip them. But be careful, all conversations tell you what you have to do.
The gameplay of The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess was well-done and not too easy. Like all point and click adventures, you pick up useful items and use them later. I could say it's a bit difficult to find out what to do, but once you know your task, it's fun to complete it. Some of the items looked almost like a part of the background, so you need to click everything that has a title when you hover your mouse on it. Most of the time that I got stuck,
it was because I have not tried all the available dialogues on certain characters. This is the hard part, because we don't know when a new dialogue will be available.
Overall, I think point-and-click adventure game fans will be pleased. Reflexive needs more entertaining and amusing adventure games like The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess that aren't like normal RPG quest games." - Dennis McQueen
The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess Review - "Playing The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess makes me feel like a little kid again. :D I've always been a huge fan of Monkey Island, and to come across another game much like it has made me feel giddy inside! Of course, however, in such a technologically advanced society we live in today, most people probably won't enjoy this game. Oh my, how can I even rate The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess graphics? I mean, they aren't spectacular, but they give me a wonderful blast from the past..." - Linda Fenty
The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess Review - "Great Game! Finally a change from all the Bejewelled clones and missing item games. , he Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess is a blast from the past. Heavily inspired by the old Monkey Island games (*cough* ripped off sprites *cough*), it has some nice puzzles and humour reminiscent of the MI classic. he Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess is a must-have for all classic Lucasarts
and MI fans. Two thumbs up!" - James N. Caulder
The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess Review - " I love the fact that reflexive made The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess to be an oldschool adventure game.
It was a bit short, but it's only chapter 1, so there is more to come.
Gameplay and Video are just like the old Monkey Island games.
(which i liked a lot..!)
So in the end The Tales of Bingwood: To Save a Princess is a real cool game, that's worth your money.
(p.s. Who knows more games of this type because the only one i know is the monkey island series..=D)" - P.J. Silver
