Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper Review - " Very Engaging. After the demo, we decided to get the full version of Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper, and we were not disappointed! All throughout, you find that you are actually LEARNING a little about the murders attributed to Jack The Ripper, while playing a great HO game at the same time. The two primary characters are interesting, and it's fun to watch them interact and work out the clues. Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper Review - "A Trip back to Victorian London. I think Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper looks pretty good, love the old Victorian England look the game has. It is a standard hidden object game but I enjoyed the overall atmosphere and storyline it creates, I think I even jumped at the music at one point.
From what I can tell it follows the investigations of the real Jack the Ripper murders, visiting many of the locations where the murders took place, which was quite interesting.
Some of the objects are quite cleverly hidden and every time you start a new game you are given different objects to find apart from a few key clue items which must always be found.

The fact that finger printing was just a theory then and Jack was one of the first attempts to use it. The graphics were very nice, and reminded me a lot of my trip to england.

Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper Review - "Solid HOG. Jack the Ripper is a good all round HOG. The graphics and the music are great and the game is quite nicely paced. The first few levels are nice and easy with the hidden objects quite easy to find. Some of the puzzles are a bit tricky but when you put your mind to it you can solve them - much better to struggle for a few minutes than to take the soft option and skip the puzzle.
