Rainbow Web is a classic game that elaborates the match-3 genre in new ways!

In the Rainbow Web quest story you embark on an adventure to the land of fairies and elves as you try to stop the evil wizard Spider.

Spider, the villian of the Rainbow Web story, has cast a spell over the fairy creatures and spun a web over their Rainbow Kingdom. By solving Rainbow Web's 60 mind-challenging levels, you complete and restore 12 stunning landscapes to break the spell and return the Rainbow Kingdom to sunshine!

Rainbow Web involves a word completion task to complete the level and restore an aspect of the Rainbow Kingdom landscape. These are not spelling tasks, but the letters are spread across the web and offer a challenge to the Rainbow Web player to include them in matches in order to complete the level. For parents, Rainbow Web offers an opportunity to play along with younger children, helping them master the matching tasks and the word completion.

Rainbow Web's match 3 tasks are challenging and the trip to the Rainbow Kingdom is enjoyable.

If you are looking for a children's game, you should understand it is not a game that your younger children can initially play unassisted. The goal is to collect the letters in a word or phrase to finish each level by matching colored tokens. The word is already shown. Children would not need to read to play the game but they will need help with the instructions and the story. The game opens with a very nice "Fairy Tale" at a reasonably high reading level. Parents would have to read the story to beginning readers and explain the game rules. I played the game with my son. Completion of each level opens beautiful screen shots of the places you just freed in the Rainbow kingdom. These changes magically appear over the blighted landscape to the delight of the players.
