User Reviews for My Tribe

My Tribe Review - "Mind-numbing! I expect alot of people to think My Tribe is a knockoff Virtual Villagers. Actually, My Tribe has alot of potential, so much in fact that I think it distances itself from Virtual Villagers quite well. The replay in My Tribe is good, as there are about billions of new islands to inhabitat. All Sims and Virtual Villagers lovers will just love MyTribe." - Seafarer Slim

My Tribe Review - "I've Found The Fountain Of Youth! Okay ... not really, but it's what we all wish for, eh? Actually My Tribe does have a fountain of youth and SO much more. If you are a fan of the Virtual Villagers trilogy, then you'll have no problems falling in love with My Tribe.

My Tribe is really beautiful. There are literally Billions of islands to choose from making the replay value a wonderful addition. I'm currently on the first island, so I'm not sure what happens after I've solved the puzzles. I eagerly await finding out.

There are so many awesome features in My Tribe. Once you've discovered the fountain of youth, you can use the correct potion to rapidly decrease the age of an elder. I really enjoy this feature of My Tribe because you need never die after investing so much into one character.

There are many puzzles to be solved. My Tribe introduces Moondust and Stardust that fall from the sky and can be collected for various purposes. Finding out what they do is a fun challenge in itself. You will find yourself mixing potions that do wonderful things. I believe there are over 40 potions to work with. I keep a little notebook by me as I play My Tribe, to keep track of potions and what they do. You will often see barrels and crates wash ashore. They can have nice or nasty surprises inside. Sometimes you will learn how to mix a certain potion. Sometimes the person you drop on it will increase in a certain skill. At times you will get a nasty little surprise in My Tribe and you'll wish that you hadn't opened the crate lol.

Once you learn how to use your items wisely in My Tribe, you'll find your characters ranking up in no time. The possibilities are endless.
You will earn trophies. You will have children (the right potion allows for twins!) I find the graphics in My Tribe to be better than Virtual Villagers. The gameplay in itself never gets old. I'm constantly checking the map screen for any surprises that may have fallen from the sky. From mushrooms to bird doo, little things are there for collecting. Five stardusts for My Tribe."

My Tribe Review - "AMAZING GAME!! WOW, My Tribe is really much better than Virtual Villager, as you have unlimited islands to chose from, each one with it's own challenges.

If you want to have a fisherman/woman in My Tribe, you don't have to force them over and over again to do so. Just click detail, check the box that you want them to do, and they set to work. There is harvesting type work (Rocks, and Wood), and you can select certain trees and rocks to harvest.

You build a science center, and then have someone become a scientist. With the technology points you can buy things in My Tribe.

Want to improve agriculture in My Tribe without having the farm? Build flowers, it will raise it up while you raise the technology to build a farm. And you can plant more than one.

Also, you can build storage in My Tribe. What you start off with in building materials and food, you can grow, and then build more and more buildings.

My suggestion for My Tribe is this: set one person to fishing, one to wood harvesting, one to rock harvesting, and one to construction. They automatically start to work on what you want them to do, without having to force them to do it." - Agnes the Administrator

My Tribe Review - "Quite a great change of pace.

Yes, it's obvious, My Tribe is like Virtual Villagers, let's just step away from that, shall we?

The most important aspect of the My Tribe game to me is, that it offers something extraordinary... rewards for playing it. Yes, some other games (*cough*) allowed you to collect things for science when playing.... but My Tribe allows you to collect potion parts, as well as special items that allow you to speed up building production, increase supplies, change the look of your tribe, and many more things. They also happen quite often, and when playing on certain islands, you can unlock the ability for them to show up, even more so.

Second thing I love about My Tribe is the ability to move on and start over, with slight benefits. You don't get to keep everything you've worked for, such as resources, but you still get to keep other things. In My Tribe you can also search for islands that suit your needs.... with their "mysteries", as well as have the chance to solve 8 different puzzles in total.

Villagers can also live quite a long time, and if your island has the fountain of youth, as others have noted, you can help your gray haired villagers live even that much longer in My Tribe.

One of the last things I'd like to note about MyTribe, is something that is VERY important for me.... and that is the ease of controlling what your villagers do. Even as a baby, you can assign what your villager will do (such as collecting wood) and something amazing happens once they reach a certain age..... they actually harvest wood. In My Tribe there is no having to drag your person 20 times to something for them to be able to do it. Once you make sure you have enough villagers on every task, it's quite easy for My Tribe to be self sufficient. Villagers can even do a number of tasks, so if you have one villager working on an art project (yes, I'm going to spoil it... making clothes for your villagers) then when he's finished, he'll also work towards another task he has been assigned (such as the wood gathering). " - Chief Dan

My Tribe Review - "LOVE IT!!! My Tribe is really fun. You can type in a number to get an island. There are things that wash up on shore in My Tribe, and things that fall from the sky - some are useful and some are not. Your people keep on working in My Tribe even when your computer is off, or you are not playing. There is even a nice turtorial in My Tribe to start you off! Plus My Tribe has tuns of puzzels to solve when you play. I sloved one already! MY TRIBE IS A REALLY GOOD GAME!!!" - Fast Forward
