Luxor 4 Quest for the Afterlife Review - "Let's start with a caveat: I love non-linear game play. I love when you can go on side trips and explore a game, picking up little tidbits along the way. Nothing makes a game more tedious for me than going point A to point B with nothing of my choosing in between. Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife has the things we loved in Luxor 3 (increasing the power
of your powerups, the interesting facts mixed into the game), but it takes the concept in a wonderful direction. Now, you have the map in front of you, you know what you MUST do, but you also have the ability to go to other cities, get other artifacts, increase your score in different ways, and still keep playing Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife even after the original quest is over.
To those people who think there is no guidance in Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife, that is maybe part of the point. Your choices matter, what you need to do vs what you want to do are all important.
What I liked in Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife:
Battle Mode! Head to head play....do I see a potential online sequel where you can play head-to-head? *hint to Mumbo Jumbo and Reflexive*
The non-linear game play. I cannot say how nice it was to take Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife the way I wanted, not following a single path.
Do not skip this Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife. It's at least as good as Luxor 3, and the ability to play on your own terms makes it so amazing to play." - Demo Nizer
Luxor 4 Quest for the Afterlife Review - "The Good: Okay I have to put my 2 cents in on this one. To think they actually put some thought into this? WOW!! Seriously, Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife is actually worth the $20.00 it's asking for. If I'm going to shell out that much for one game, then it has to do more then just match 3 or shoot balls over and over again. Luxor 4: Quest for the
Afterlife makes you think, imagine that? So they made it a more challenging experience for us. I for one am glad they did. Graphics are always spectacular in the Luxor series but Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife seemed even better then the last 2 they made.
The “So Called Cons“
So yeah you do have to repeat cities but hey you’re stopping a grave robber!! Who says that's going to be easy? lol to me Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife has it all, a story, a Plot to follow, and a not so run-of-the-mill match 3 play. And I for one am very glad they thought a little more of me and you to put some more content into the game play for Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife. Thank you for giving me my $20.00 worth. (Thumbs Up!!)" - Grand Vizier
Luxor 4 Quest for the Afterlife Review - "Fantastic! This is the first Luxor game I've played so I can't compare Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife to the previous games. However, Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife is astonishingly good. It took me a while to understand what it has to offer, but then I was off and running, choosing my own paths. I love the narration, the great story, the smooth gameplay, the powers that can be upgraded,
the artifact bonuses and the moving targets in Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife. It all adds up to hours of fine entertainment. Well worth buying. Download the Luxor 4: Quest for the Afterlife demo and give it a try." - Gamer 3
