Deadtime Stories Review - "One comment-- WOW! Deadtime Stories-- A Keeper for Sure" - Gaming Girl
Deadtime Stories Review - "Now this makes a change-- a hidden object game that requires magic. I liked playing Deadtime Stories because it required creating spells rather than just finding things that don't do anything. The title is a little wierd because it sounds like bedtime stories" - Algernon
Deadtime Stories Review - "I Am Hooked on Deadtime Stories. I couldn't wait to play this game, after thirty minutes I knew I would want to buy it! The spooky theme was right up my alley! I loved the characters and the accents. I was impressed with all the elements involved in the game; from the spooky music and sound effects right down to the mini- games, gathering items
for the potions all the way down to the seek & find part! I highly urge anyone to get this game. Hopefully, there is a sequel; several of them? *crosses fingers and waits* Also, a little fact I didn't know until I read a different review; the Delphine LaLaurie character is loosely based on the real Delphine LaLaurie, also known as Madame LaLaurie (born Marie Delphine Macarty), was an American socialite and
supposed serial killer.

Deadtime Stories Review - "Good story, good length for the price. I have to say, I was intrigued by Deadtime Stories and the storyline. But there is some good and bad to Deadtime Stories.
Pro:
1. No clear "bad guy". Instead, the game leaves it up to you to decide. I like games that blur the morality line.
2. Interesting story. I've played a lot of hidden object games, and I enjoyed the idea that there are possible episodes later.
Con:
1. Sometimes, the hidden objects were a bit too difficult to find. For example, you would be asked to find "sulfur" and it ends up being a clump of yellow in the scene with other clumps of yellow. Or towards the end, it asks you to find "string". There is a roll of string in the scene, but what it wants is an inch wide swath I would have called ribbon.
2. I spent a lot of time wandering between the two scenes because frequently all you had to do was leave the room and come back and the hidden object puzzle would respawn, this time with the item you needed to solve the puzzle.

Deadtime Stories Review - "You should definitely demo this one, you'll probably buy!
Wonderful graphics. Interesting story. Didn't get stuck - hints have been quite adequate.
Contains flies, snakes, rats and voodoo stuff, so there may be a few people who won't want it on that basis. But it is a nice change of scenery otherwise.
Purchased this game early this morning and just finished playing it thru once. I had to start from the beginning after purchasing, and it took me about 6 hours I think to play thru it.
I LOVE Deadtime Stories! This is my favorite IHOG I've played. This one has a fantasy edge to the artwork in the scenes, and some pleasant bright colors added into them -- purples, reds, and golden yellows.
I did not find Deadtime Stories particularly creepy or scary, just interesting. The music wasn't putting me on edge either, although the sound of flies did get to me some. And I did not mind returning a few times to these locations - which for me often seems tedious in many games. The story didn't feel cut short like in a lot of games -- I found the ending satisfying -- loved it.
I almost got stuck *once* -- there was one piece of info I never did find, but I found a way to guess it to get thru the puzzle. Don't know if it was there and I missed it, or if guessing was the only way to do it. But that was the only time. (I hate getting stuck...)
When I demo-ed the game, I was worried it would just be one potion after another, and would get tedious. I was wrong on both counts. The potions were well woven into the story, and gave relevance to some of the things you find in the hidden object scenes. " - Southern Belle
