"Review for Crimsonland - I have to
say, I really really enjoyed this game. The core mechanic is excellent
and the power ups and level progression are just right. Some of
the weapons are so satisfying that I had to play levels over and
over just to see the effects again. The guys at work played the
survival mode for days, but I got into the normal levels way more.
I really can't say enough about this game. The concept is very simple
but the execution is first rate. If you are any kind of an arcade
gamer, you must try this game."- Arcade Gunner
"Crimsonland is definately a classic
shoot'em up. Probably the most exciting game of it's type. The gameplay
is simple, yet provides hours of endless fun. You play as a soldier
on a large open landscape, and the objective is to obliterate anything
that comes near you. It doesn't sound like much, but when you add
the fast paced action with the ability to gain "perks"
and level up, you've got an equation able to provide one heck of
an adrenaline rush. The music is nice, and played quietly in the
background so it doesn't drown out the important sounds of gunfire
and monsters dying. There are 60 increasingly challenging quest
levels, along with a "Survival" and a "Rush"
mode, allowing the playability of this game to last much longer.
Overall, this is easily one of the best action games and it would
be silly not to give this game a try." - Shoot 'Em Up

"Brilliant! Crimsonland is one of those
timeless classics that arcade gamers can always relate to one another
with. The gameplay: simple and beautifully executed, you are a lone
soldier on empty terrain fending off hordes of monsters. As you
kill, you gain "perks", giving you abilities such as regeneration
or faster reloading. Weapons are also plentiful, each one having
a creative twist on your standard arsenal. My personal favourites
were anything Ion, and the Plasma Minigun. There are 60 quest mode
levels, and then the infamous survival mode, as well as Rush. What
I found really fun was the Type'o'Kill mode you unlock after finishing
quest mode. You can't move or shoot by yourself, instead monsters
will come at you with words above their heads, and you have to type
the words as fast as you can in order to kill them. Top notch creativity!
Two thumbs up!" - Action Gamer
"Review of Crimsonland - Excellent Blast
the Alien Classic. In the demo opening, you can choose to: select
the manual, parental controls, system preferences, a link to the
Crimsonland website, or play the game. This is all done before the
game loads. The music is great! There are additional music packs
available at the website. The modes for play include: Quest, Survival,
Rush and Tutorial. A couple years back I got the demo and started
out on tutorial. I actually recommend going to "Quest"
mode your first time out, because, it is much more fun. Nothing
teaches you a lesson better than getting killed. Read the instructions
in the manual. When you decide to get the game, go through the full
tutorial. Crimsonland is one of the games that makes it into serious
gamers permanent libraries. The game may seem simple on the front
end, if, it is your first time playing, but I asure you it is one
of the more addictive games around." - Blasting Bob
