"Review for Bookworm Adventures Duluxe - Bookworm Adventures Deluxe is Incredible! Forget your average Bookworm games, this is a whole new game. I know what you're thinking.. Typical Bookworm Game, but you're wrong - I was wrong, I was expecting the usual spell-a-word and submit it.. but I was more than pleasantly surprised, Bookworm Adventures Deluxe hooked me right in from the get-go. You fight monsters, level up, power-up, and fight your way through various books [chapters in the game], using words against your foes, Bookworm Adventures Deluxe not what you'd expect, it's challenging, and not boring. The graphics are amazing, the dialogue is actually pretty funny, and gameplay incredible, as you come across monsters and end-bosses that rival those from the BEST PC games. With words like Whomped flashing on the screen when you've really nailed a boss, I almost felt like Batman! ;) If you die during a chapter, don't worry, there are mini-games GALORE that win you potions, so you can just keep playing those until you've built up a decent potion inventory, plus you still get to level-up each time you defeat a monster, even if you perish afterwards :) After you defeat an end-boss, you are given a treasure, that will assist you on your quest, be it a power-up that increases words using a certain letter, or a shield to resist stun, poison or petrify, but you are only allowed to choose three of these before entering a dungeon. Give this a try, it isn't what you are expecting, it's up there with the best of them. I have a whole new opinion of little "Lex" - he rocks! "- Booker T.

"Review for Bookworm Adventures Duluxe - Astonishing Bookworm! Every time I turn on my PC, I want to click on Bookworm Adventures Deluxe to go on fighting with monsters. Even when I finished the adventure, I still wanted to start it again. The story is interesting! I love the graphics. The lady monsters are really cute. I started it over and over again just to increase the "Average Word Length". And I did it. The first time was 5, second was 6, and I got 7 at the third time I played. I really go into it. I love it when I can defeat the enemy only with one time- one word -and get the gems stone. The conversation between Lex and monsters is funny. The mini games are wonderful, too! I like the adventure concept: how Lex advances into the game, traveling through chapters and destroying enemies by spelling words. "Review for Bookworm Adventures Duluxe - Totally awesome and addictive. I am in love with Lex and Bookworm Adventures Deluxe! This game is outstanding! The story, the challenges and the humor will put an enchantment spell on you for hours. I especially loved Lex´s sarcastic comments (such as "this is a monster?" when facing an evil sheep), the information presented about the villains and that some of the villains have the same names as the developers of the game (you will notice that when the adventure/"movie" comes to the "role list" or the dedications). Also there is, of course, a good challenge for your vocabulary. Because Bookworm Adventures Deluxe is not about finding words within a certain time limit, it is excellent for non-native English speakers as well. But in spite of no time limits the game is not boring. Power-ups, stuns, freezings, burns, bleedings, petrifications - you must have a strategy to fight all this. You will win a lot of tools which will help you, but you cannot bring more than three of them with you into a chapter. So choose wisely. Bookworm Adventures Deluxe is not a copy of other similar games and it is not a copy/upgrade of the previous Bookworm. It is something new.
