Astro Avenger II Review - " Outstanding! When I first looked at the title of this game: Astro Avenger II, I knew it wouldl be a great game. I have played Astro Avenger, though a little boring, it has a unique shopping and upgrading system, which it is even better in this sequel. Instead of purchasing armour and energy cell upgrades, you can have whole new ships in Astro Avenger Il. And in an addition to repairing and purchasing weapons, you get a new option: Droids. You can buy them to attack your enemies or to defend yourself from enemy fire. With this refreshing new addition, you can apply more strategies to this thrilling action game. The downsides I found in the first version are wiped out in the sequel: It's not ever repetitive. The new combinations of enemies now make for more exciting levels, you won't say something like: "Oh, it is THIS ship plus a defense gun again!" Every level has got a different arrangement and this keeps you from feeling bored. Astro Avenger II is an excellent and addicting vertical scrolling shooter. Astro Avenger II Review - " You can't go wrong... Astro Avenger2 kept me going for two straight hours until I beat it on Pilot mode. A great sequel to the first game, with lots more upgrades/changes. The last boss took me a while to figure out (save up to 20 lives and I died constantly while facing it). If you ever get to the very last boss (the other bosses on the last stage is easy to kill (just make sure to buy the whole lots of strongest bombs and pound them before they come). When you reach the final final boss in Astro Avenger 2, you'll have to press 6 to get the Secret Weapon, which will consume your $$ as you fire, but since u don't need it anymore (nothing else will cause damage to it)." - Galaxy Hero

Astro Avenger II Review - " Astro Avenger II is a great Space Shooter, I received it as a gift and almost played through it in one day on the easiest (Cadet) setting. I have a fairly fast PC with a mid grade graphics card and found it lagged at times, so a good GPU is a must! The only real problem I encountered was in world 5 level 10 the final level at the end there is a extremely tough boss with a shield that cannot be penetrated with any weapon except the (Secret Weapon)! I couldn't figure out how to get the secret weapon to fire continuously it would just freeze up and not shoot even though I had full power and plenty of life left. I tried and tried to get past this level and never did. I finally gave up!! Other than that Astro Avenger II is a GREAT Game! Highly recommended if you like space shooters!!!" - Blasting Bob
